Dies war der 2.Urlaub in diesem Haus. Begeistert waren wir wieder von der Gastfreundlichkeit von Paolo und vor allen Dingen von Luigi. Trotz Sprachbarrieren war ein kleines nettes Gespräch immer an der Tagesordnung.
Die Wohnung ist einfach aber ausreichend ausgestattet. Ein Generalreinigung und Überprüfung der
Gebrauchsgegenstände wäre allerdings angezeigt.

Wat een geweldig leuk huis, volop ruimte alles is aanwezig en het heeft een zeer bijzondere sfeer.

Very old renovated apartment ideal location for the Leaning Tower. Good Location for the Leaning Tower. The lady who owned the apartment was waiting for us when we arrived. She was extremely helpful when we had difficulty booking a taxi for our return journey to airport. The apartment was next to a church and at 7pm each evening the church bells played Ave Ave Ave Maria (The Lourdes Hymn) Beautiful.

heel mooie lokatie, goede infrastructuur, prima in orde, ligt afgelegen wat een pluspunt is, alleen moeilijk te vinden de eerste keer en een lange, hobbelige toegangsweg. Heel lieve eigenares maar de taal is echt wel een probleem, zeker wanneer zij zich laat vertegenwoordigen door haar personeel (enkel Italiaans, geen enkele andere taal). Bij aankomst een lekkere fles wijn van de eigen wijngaard gekregen. Een aanrader.

Very sweet owner but the language is really a problem, especially when she is represented by her staff (only Italian, no other language). Se volete una vacanza tranquilla, rilassante e confortevole, questa è la casa perfetta. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario Michele e da sua moglie, con grande simpatia e gentilezza, siamo stati coccolati per tutta la vacanza come persone di famiglia..sempre pronti e disponibili per ogni necessità..la casa è molto confortevole..non manca assolutamente nulla..la mia famiglia ed io, speriamo di tornarci presto...

Die Lage ist sehr ländlich, ein Auto ist ein Muss. Die Unterkünfte liegen schattig inmitten eines Waldes, unsere war gut ausgestattet. Der große Pool (ca. 18-20 m lang) ist ein Traum! Sehr herzliche Inhaberfamilie und freundlicher Verwalter. Ein ruhiger und erholsamer Aufenthalt!

The accommodations are situated in a shady position in the middle of a forest, our was well equipped. The large pool (about 18-20 m long) is a dream! Very cordial owner family and friendly caretaker. We stayed at Podere Il Doccio for 9 nights at the end of the summer holidays. I do not normally bother with reviews but this really was a great holiday thanks to the lovely apartment and the incredibly friendly, open, helpful and kind sister/brother team of Irene and Eduardo. The apartment was ideal for our family (two adults & two young children). A large terrace to eat out on (and chill out on once the children were in bed) and a style inside that was completely to our taste. Irene & Eduardo were always incredibly helpful without forcing anything upon us. I am usually sceptical of things like "cooking experiences" but our evening cooking italian dishes with them was like an evening with mates and they even managed to keep the children entertained. I could write an essay on the things that were great but it was the little things - like the warm welcome when we arrived and being able to pick fresh fruit (plums; grapes; pomegrantes) from the garden whenever we wanted - that made our stay so special. The pool, although shared, was easily big enough for all of the guests and the huge grounds gave plenty of space to run around and explore. We really could not recommend Podere Il Doccio highly enough. If you want to experience Tuscany in a relaxed, natural environment this is the place for you.

The villa is beautiful and spacious, really well equipped kitchens. There is also lots of other things you might need during your stay, torches etc. Location has breathtaking views of Tuscan hills and is very quiet. The staff who checked us in and out, are really kind and helpful. We had an excellent family stay there.

We stayed here in 2010 and again in September 2017 and we loved it just as much the second time around. The location, so close to Montefollonico, Pienza and Montepulciano, is perfect. Siena is a lovely one day trip. Grocery stores in Pienza and Montepulciano have everything you need for eating at home. The owner, Ricardo, lives nearby and is more than willing to help with answering questions and making dinner reservations. This villa is worth every penny and we would not hesitate to recommend it.
