This was truly our dream Tuscany location. Staying here was like living inside a painting. Finding it was a slight adventure, but that only added to the charm of our visit. I would definitely recommend this villa.
Our stay in Villa Carolina was excelent. Everything was perfect. The ownners were very nice and they made everything they could to make our experience in Italy a unforgetable experience. The house is very beautiful, confortable and complete. I recomed the house for anyone who want to have a great experience in Tuscan.
needs to improve safety in the master bedroom by installing a hand bar in the shower as the floor is very slippy.Also there is not a place in the master bedroom to put your clothes .On another topic, the key holder lady is very nice but it will help if she knew a bit of English, French or German. So it can be improved but it is beautiful place conveniently located.
What a wonderful place ! It is so centrally located to visit so many different areas. The Chianti region, the coastal areas, Siena, Florence, all are easy drives and you can access the Interstate highways so easily from our Villa in minutes yet you are in the country. Our hostess/owner and now friend Francesca was so helpful and accommodating and told us what villages and areas to visit.We enjoyed a personal dinner with her in her fathers home on site that was unforgettable.The little village Villa di Corsano is so nice and has a great restaurant and grocery store. Would definitely return again !
Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Next thing to heaven. Only possible improvments would be wi-fi and although not required, a television is nice to have once in awhile. Loved the place, views and Susan, the owner of the villa, was great.
We were a company of 18 people and we spent 7 unforgettable days in this villa. Rooms are clean and tidy, the kitchen is huge and has everything you need for cooking. Nearby Arezzo (16 km) there is a large supermarket COOP from which you may buy products. The owner of the house, Mr. Lorenzo Piomboni is very polite and helpful and always responds when you needed.
The villa is perfectly located for exploring Tuscany and Umbria. The area around the villa offers of possibility to walking tours. The restaurant which is located close to the villa is very nice and not expensive.
We used the villa as a base to visit Siena, Arezzo, Montalcino, Assisi, Anghiari, etc., but the villa offers very good conditions for rest in place. Unfortunately, there are around so many beautiful towns that, we didn't have time to visit all of them and at the same time to relax in the villa. For us 7 days were not enough and we would come back again.
We recommend this villa to all big companies of friends who want to spend unforgettable days together.
Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner and pleased to find the apartment was very clean, neat and spacious.
The owner resides on the premises and was very accommodating answering all of our questions and we had everything we needed. The view of San Gimignano was amazing and the proximity for hiking as well as walks into town was perfect. In short, our time spent at Poggetto Di Montese was memorable and we would not hesitate to recommend to friends.
