Guardastelle is a beautiful and well-appointed property in an amazing location. Susanna - the owner - was very friendly and acommodating. The property has a small bed and breakfast inn as well as several apartments. We stayed in one of the apartments and absolutely loved it. Guardastelle also has wine and olive oil tasting. The property is a short walk (15 min) or drive (3 min) away from the incredibly beautiful town of San Gimignano, with many excellent restaurants and ceramics shops. It's also close to wine areas of Chianti and Montalcino for those interested in tasting wine, and is about an hour away from Siena and Florence. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable; we will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Poggio del Sole. Ivan and family were more than helpful with anything that we needed to know about the area, as well as wonderful hosts. The location and scenery up in the Tuscan hills was breathtaking. We were able to see many small towns such as Cortona, Montepulciano, Lake Trasimeno, and more. It was a home away from home. Our accommodation far exceeded our expetantions, very clean and very well equipped. The welcome we received on arrival, with food provisions before we had the chance to shop for groceries was a wonderfu surprise. The kindness showed throughout our stay was very memorable. The pizzeria across the road was very handy if you did not want to drive in town for dinner. Even though our ability to speak Italian was very limited, we managed to communicate very well, as our host Ivan also spoke a little English. Also thank you Linda at Posarelli Villas for her prompt service to us via e-mail.

Having booked Villa Limoni 7 months previously we arrived to start our rental to be told that the property had been damaged in a storm and was not habitable, but that we could use the other villa owned by the same family, Zurli, located less than 1 km away. Unfortunately this was a bare-faced lie, and another family were enjoying Limoni for the next week as it had been double-booked. Even then we were not told the truth until every possible untruth had been tried. We were upgraded to a better villa with the promise of nothing further to pay, but this was also untrue. I would not recommend this company to anyone, as despite the villa-owner's dishonesty, our contract was with the agents.

Bottino is even more beautiful than the photos. It's a very comfortable home, with picturebook views, and lots of interesting places to visit nearby (if you feel like tearing yourself away from the terrace and the beautiful setting). Of the places I've rented, this is tops for bathroom joys (water pressure, hot water and giant bath sheets).

The property is basic, but clean, safe, comfortable and brilliantly placed to explore Northern Tuscany, by train and by car. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would strongly recommend it.

The apartment is beautiful and we loved our time there. We found the apartment quite dark inside and a little cold in September with its stone floors. I would suggest more lighting and more floor rugs for this time of year.
The apartment was perfectly clean and a joy to stay in. Lovely being so close to Florence and yet have such lovely views. Giuseppe and Simona were the only people we meet really and they were both lovely, especially Simona who wanted to be helpful all the time and her collegue who ran the bar on Sundays.

We stayed at the Villa il Nido the week of Sept 13 – 20, 2008, and had a delightful experience.
The villa is set on top of a hill, with beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside, yet a short walk brings you to the village of Castelnuovo, which contains many facilities, including services, shops, and good restaurants. (The afternoon closing times do take some getting used to, since some of us on holiday don’t get moving till noon!) The town is also well situated for sightseeing and walking/hiking in the hills of the Garfagnana area, and is only an hour’s drive from Lucca. There is a good train service. There are also many other small towns in the area to visit.
The villa itself is very spacious, on two levels and a loft, with quality, heirloom furniture, comfortable beds, enough bathrooms, and a well appointed kitchen.
Paolo and his wife, Maria Christina, were gracious people, who take pride in their role as hosts. They were always available for our requests, and responded to them promptly and courteously. Paolo gave us a tour of the property and explained its interesting history. He is a well informed tourist guide. Maria Christina baked us a traditional tuscan cake – a new taste experience for us.
We heartily recommend the Villa il Nido for an enjoyable vacation.
We have included some pictures of the vistas outside the villa.

Fabulous villa, the second time we have stayed here. Excellent service provided by the 3 sisters who run the property. They are very friendly and hospitable, even though sometimes the language barrier could be a bit of a problem. Our villa this time could house 7 adults although only 5 of us stayed so there was plenty of room. The rooms were spacious and tidy with lovely furniture in keeping with the style of the villa. We had amazing views across the vineyards and hillsides from our upper storey bedroom window. The pool was well maintained as were the grounds. A great new addition to the propety is the new wine cellar/hosting area where we enjoyed a wonderful four course meal one evening together with all the guests from the other villas. This was organised by the 3 sisters and was enjoyed by everyone.
For those of you driving to the villa, we did have a major hiccup following our directions provided by this website! The exit at Firenze Signa is no longer called that, it had changed to Scandicci exit over a year ago. This caused us to overshoot the exit and drive for an additional 40km before we could get back to Scandicci. This just causes undue stress when you are driving in a foreign country and rely soley on instructions provided to you.

My family stayed in 3 of the properties at Rosa dei Venti and all were wonderful. All the properties were clean and everything was working properly. All the windows have screens on them which is a major plus! All the appliances are up-to-date and working. Barbara and Stefano are fantastic hosts. The property is beautiful. I highly recommend this property.
