We stayed for 1 week at La Colombaia. It was FABULOUS!!! The most gorgeous villa and we all loved it. It was the best part of our 3 weeks in Italy. So much better than we expected and it certainly gets a top vote from all of us. There were 6 adults and 7 children 2-12yrs and we had plenty of room. The grounds and pool were just lovely and it was all so fresh, clean, sparkling and ... just perfect.
Die Lage von S.Agata ist etwas abgeschieden, aber dafür wunderschön mit Blick auf die Hügel des Chiana-Tals. Die Anlage, Wohnung und Pool sind hübsch gestaltet und gut gepflegt. Wer seine Ruhe haben und entspannen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The position of S. Agata is a secluded spot, but therefore beautiful overlooking the hills of the Chiana Valley. The complex, apartment and pool are well designed and well maintained. Who wants to have his rest and relax is in the right place here.
Very nice apartment, well fitted out. Lovely views looking out across the valley and Dicomano. Good 16m swimming pool. Very relaxing surroundings. Train from Dicomano (5 mins by car, 25 min walk) will take you into Florence, about 50 mins, 3 euro each way pp.

We have been back a home for two weeks after our trip to Italy and we are all in deep depression!!! Leaving Villa Liliana was so hard!! We (my husband and I, and our friends, Donnie and Betty) have been traveling together every summer for 21 years, and without a doubt this was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Not only the beauty of Villa Liliana, but the graciousness of Nicoletta and her son Niccolo. We did not get to meet Ugo as he was out of town, but loved Enzo (the gardner) and his wife Ada (the chef who cooked a fabulous meal for us one night), and of course, Millie (the family dog) who joined us two nights for dinner! Villa Liliana is a wonderful base, as you can go on day trips to so many places and be back for dinner that night. We recommend this villa to everyone, our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer. Jane and Tom
My family of 5 had a wonderful time at Spuntone. The pictures really do not do justice to the house. It is larger than it appears on-line, beautifully landscaped and decorated, well-stocked and perfectly located. The kitchen is small, but worked fine for us. We were a little concerned about noise the first night we arrived (a Saturday), but things were much, much quieter the rest of the week. We took trips throughout Tuscany during the day, returned in the late afternoon and let the kids swim in the pool, and then walked into town at night for a gelato and/or glass of brunello. It was a fantastic experience.
Our family was searching for a venue for our daughter’s wedding near Siena; she had chosen to be married on my husband’s and mine 30th Wedding Anniversary, her 29th birthday and my 50th – we had a great deal to celebrate. We all count ourselves honored to have had Lilliana and husband, their daughter Francesca + Sylvia as our hosts. The arrangements started over one year in advance, and at every turn, they took care of every detail with loving care.
The properties themselves are gorgeous: the website and pictures do not do justice to the natural beauty and old world charm of the estate. The rooms are decorated comfortably yet in an old world fashion: one part of the house is over 400 years old! The pools and grounds are impeccable. We worried that having all of us under one roof might be uncomfortable (~30 of us) but the privacy in each apartments gave us room to be separate while letting us enjoy one another’s company.
Lilliana is an exceptional chef: her welcome meal was pronounced the best meal we had in all of Italy (several of our guests said it was the best meal of their life!). We enjoyed an exceptional tour of Siena a week prior to the Paoli, thanks to her introduction of an expert historical guide.
We hosted our daughter’s weddings on the grounds – photographer, flowers, local musicians, caterer, wine from the estate and an amazing cake (whose identify I still don’t know) all coupled with exquisite decorations… all done remotely via email, and all carefully selected by Silvia, Francesca and Lilliana. My sister said, “It was like a fairy-tale”. It was stunning, and we owe everything to these lovely women’s good taste.
I could not give a higher recommendation: we trusted them with one of the most important days in our family’s life. Our thanks to the gracious and hardworking Migone Family.
