Better than expected.
The people managing this location were excellent with all the assistance you could ever require. Their maintenance man even rescued a valued ring that slipped off a finger and went down the drain, by taking apart the drain to retrieve it.
The food in the restaurant is exactly what you would expect from a restaurant in this area. We ate at many local places and all were top notch.
Our room (La Grotta) was even more spectacular than expected. Not only would I recommend this place, but I have since convinced some friends to stay here and also in the area since our experience was more than expected.
We had an excellent time at Il Meleto.We stayed there with 2 families and enjoyed the comfortable house and the great area outside. The Pool area wasone of the highlight large enough for swimming. The big garden was well-kept and the the service every morning was great and soundless. Many thanks Anna, Livio and Giovanni for the time in Il Meleto!
After a late arrival and a few wrong turns we had a fantastic stay in Paola 2. The setting is lovely and peaceful. Very comfortable accommodation and beautiful swimming pool. The owners were very welcoming leaving pastries one morning & home grown tomatoes another. To top our holiday all the guests were invited to an evening of freshly made pizzas and a wine. A very special touch to end a lovely stay.
Très belle location proche de la charmante petite ville de Montespertoli. Appartement bien équipé, très jolie terrasse et superbe piscine avec vue sur les collines toscanes couvertes de vignes et d'oliviers. Accueil sympathique et situation centrale pour visiter Sienne, San Giminiano, Pise et Lucques, Florence (même si accès escarpé au gîte).
Samen met onze 4 kinderen en met onze vrienden met eveneens 4 kinderen hebben we genoten van de twee villa's. De huizen zijn schoon en ruimte is er genoeg. Een heerlijke tuin met mooi uitzicht.
Het is afgelegen, je gaat 's morgens niet even naar de bakker om wat broodjes te halen. De bakker komt dan ook om de dag naar het huis toe. Wij kochten voor een paar dagen eten in zodat je niet mis grijpt. Er staat een koelkast met vriesvak
Cortona is een heel leuk plaatje om te bezoeken.
Wij hebben het heel goed gehad en zijn na een week weer uitgerust naar huis gekeerd.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Together with our four children and our friends, also with 4 children we enjoyed the two villas. The houses are clean and there is enough space. A lovely garden with beautiful views.
It's remote, you can't go in the morning to the bakery to buy some bread and in fact the baker comes to the house daily. We bought food for a few days. There is a fridge freezer.
Cortona is a very nice place to visit.
We have had very good holidays and have returned home again rested after a week.
Rosado was a fantastic host and did all he could to make our stay memorable. The villa was lovely..the bedrooms were large with excellent ensuites. The fifth bedroom in the tower is up a steep flight of stairs with the bathroom on the ground floor..so perhaps not suitable for older/younger guests. The pool was great in beautiful gardens. Table tennis room also fun addition. Would definitely recommend Torre del Cielo.
