The location is juist right, perfect to visit for instance san Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Barberina val d’Elsa, Greve and of cource Florence. You can drive the Chianti- route, which is very beautifull. There are many places where you can try and buy wine, cheese and ham.
Nearby, the “osteria” , where you can eat very well with a beautifull view.

Het huis is groot, 5 slaapkamers en 4 badkamers. Ruim voldoende voor de 5 personen waar wij mee op vakantie waren. Alles is aanwezig. Het huis ligt aan de rand van Toscane vlak bij Umbrië. Het huis ligt heel rustig tussen de weilanden en heeft een heerlijk zwembad en een veranda waar je 's morgens heerlijk kan ontbijten. Het huis is wel enigszins gehorig, de eigenaar woont op de begane grond en de levendige Italiaanse conversaties waren 's morgens vroeg goed te horen in onze slaapkamer op de 1e verdieping.

Charming, rustic house with lovely pool. Comfortable and quirky. Old fashioned mismatched kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need - enjoyed cooking local ingredients. If you like shiny and new, this house is not for you. But if you like lived in and clearly loved, then you'll like it a lot.

We fell in love with the property from the moment we walked in, and the surrounding area as we explored it. There were all the homely touches you'd hope for, plenty of pillows, throws, candles... all these things added to the home comforts of staying here. I would say though, if you have a phobia to bugs & spiders, you should consider staying in a city rather than a Tuscan farmhouse. We found a side-effect of having all the windows and doors open on arrival gave us some little friends to 'deal' with but thankfully there were no heart attacks. I thought this would be worth mentioning as somebody with a serious phobia who isn't used to the countryside could have the wrong expectations. Chiara communicated so well with us. Check-in was a breeze and she directed us when we were lost finding the place. She gave us helpful tips and recommendations about local towns and a restaurant in walking distance. Chiara also checked that everything was fine. I'll never forget the peace and quiet reading my book in the private garden as the sun went down... The location is absolutely fantastic. We managed lots of trips including Volterra, San Gimignano, Pienza, Sienna to name a few - all were reasonable drives. We cooked for ourselves nearly every night. There was a big supermarket in the nearest town about 10 minutes from the property and the kitchen amenities were sufficient for us to make delicious meals with fresh produce.

We had a very pleasant stay in Ricavoli , the house was above our expectations, Rebeca and Luciano were wonderful hosts, the views from the house were great, we also liked being so close to Florence.
