Een heerlijk en zeer smaakvol huis met een fantastisch uitzicht en een zeer gastvrije huiseigenaresse.
De laatste 3 kilometer is een beste klim zelfs met de auto. Niet echt geschikt voor onervaren bestuurders.

The last 3 kilometres is really a climb even by car. Not really suitable for inexperienced drivers.
This villa, which generously sleeps 10 (plus we had a crib for a baby), is beautifully situated in San Feliciano next to the shore of Lake Trasimeno and at the center of many of the Tuscan and Umbrian towns of interest. The villa itself, with separate first floor unit accommodating 4 and second floor unit for 6, ideally suited our party. The outdoor terrace with its ample dining options and view over the valley to San Savino, was enjoyed by everyone for meals and fellowship. The pool was a life-saver, as central Italy was experiencing a drought and close to 100 degrees F. every day. The support staff was responsive. One small issue: For a rental of this cost, there should have been adequate dish detergent and dish washer soap, laundry soap, and toilet paper for a party of 10 for one week. There was not. For very little cost, the rental could have supplied these essentials. We give this rental an enthusiastic thumbs up!
Samen met mijn twee dochters (12 en 10) en de hond verbleven we in Al Melo in de week van 16 tot 23 juli. Het huisje was wat aan de kleine kant en beetje traditioneel ingericht, maar aangezien we veel op uitstap waren en verder veel tijd buiten doorbrachten, waar de accommodatie zeker wel op voorzien was, stoorde de beperkte ruimte ons niet echt. De absolute toppunten aan Al Melo: zwembad voor privégebruik (zwembad is naast de woning van de eigenaar gelegen, maar hij voorziet enkel in onderhoud), airco in de woning!!!! (was echt super gezien de hitte!) en heel vriendelijke gastheer en -vrouw! Ook zeer proper en de gigantische tuin is perfect onderhouden!! Wij hebben alvast hard genoten van onze vakantie en voor onze doeleinden was de accommodatie absoluut geschikt!
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Together with my two daughters (12 and 10) and the dog, we stayed in Al Melo in the week from 16 to 23 July. The cottage was a bit on the small side and a bit traditionally furnished, but as we were out and about a lot and otherwise spent a lot of time outdoors, which the accommodation certainly catered for, the limited space did not really bother us. The absolute best things about Al Melo: swimming pool for private use (pool is located next to the owner's house, but he only provides maintenance), air conditioning in the house!!!! (was really super given the heat!) and very friendly hosts! Also very clean and the gigantic garden is perfectly maintained!!! We certainly enjoyed our holiday very much and for our purposes the accommodation was absolutely suitable!
De villa was zonder meer geweldig. Groot, tuin idem, zwembad was onontbeerlijk en lekker groot. De ligging was ook formidabel. Prachtig uitzicht en omgeving. Pas bij aankomst begrepen we dat het complex uit drie huizen bestond: de grote villa en apart daarvan nog twee kleinere huizen. Dat was best prettig. Er was wel een groot nadeel: geen airco en geen ventilator. Wij waren daar met 38 graden, de nachten waren zeer warm. Advies: doe iets aan de koeling in de slaapkamers.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The villa was definitely great. Large, also large garden, pool was indispensable and nice and big. The location was also formidable. Beautiful views and surroundings. Only on arrival did we understand that the complex consisted of three houses: the large villa and, separately, two smaller houses. That was quite nice. There was one major drawback: no air conditioning and no fan. We were there at 38 degrees and the nights were very hot. Advice: do something about cooling in the bedrooms.
Vi havde to fantastiske uger med familie og venner i dette dejlige hus! Ejeren var yderst ydmyg, venlig og uforstyrrende. Værten var forbi tre gange og var interesseret i vores velbefindende og var yderst hjælpsom. Huset er velekviperet, og er køligt i varmen og har dejlige og rummelige værelser. Poolen bliver omhyggeligt rengjort hver 3. dag. Terrassen og omgivelserne i skoven oplyses om aftenen med med hyggelige lys, og i området er der rig mulighed for at besøge vingårde, hvor du kan købe og smage vin. Denne kan med fordel nydes i de rolige og hyggelige omgivelser om aftenen på terrassen. Der er en meget stejl nedkørsel til huset. Der er mange parkeringsmuligheder. Der er ca. 10-12 min til nærmeste indkøbsmuligheder. Vi vil SÅ gerne tilbage igen!!!
Nicely renovated Tuscan farmhouse in a quiet location. Due to the old structure, which has its charm, the children's room is relatively small and another room can only be used as a passage room. The pool is relatively shallow, but this was ideal for our children (8 and 10). The location is somewhat hidden and the way to it a gravel road (partly a bit steep). The landlords were nice, live right next door and unfortunately do not know English. Therefore, the communication was a bit difficult, but everything worked out. We were surprised that the cleaning was not included in the total price (had to pay it cash), but maybe we have overseen this. We enjoyed our time there and would certainly come back.
