We recently had the pleasure of staying on a beautiful organic olive farm in Tuscany, and it was truly unforgettable. The views were breathtaking, and the warm hospitality of Lucca, Lorella, and their families made us feel instantly at home. From the moment we arrived, they went out of their way to make our stay special, sharing their way of life and the incredible story of their olive farm. One of the highlights was witnessing the olive harvest and even getting the chance to join in. It was a unique experience to learn about the traditional techniques and then, in the evening, be invited to the local frantoio to see the olive oil production up close. This authentic glimpse into Tuscan culture was such a privilege, and the delicious olive oil will forever remind us of this beautiful place. Thank you to Lucca, Lorella, and the whole family for making our visit so memorable. We’ll be back to relive this wonderful experience and to see our new friends again. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic and warm Italian stay!

L'unico vero neo della località sono le stradine per raggiungerla. Ma allo stesso tempo questo leggero isolamento rende il paesino e la sistemazione, un piccolo gioiello e quindi si fa presto a non considerarlo nella valutazione generale dei nostri 4 giorni a Gualdo. L'appartamento e' veramente carino ed entrarci e' come fare un tuffo nel passato. Quasi nel medioevo, nonostante ci sia tutto il necessario per una permanenza comoda e moderna. Pero' i muri, i pavimenti, il borgo stesso... All.inizio della strada che porta a Gualdo c'e' un cartello che dice Gualdo, il paese delle fiabe... mai indicazione fu piu' azzeccata. E probabile che si torni anche il prossimo anno.

Wir hatten im Sommer 2024 eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa Marisa. Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Dorf auf einem Pass. Auch im Hochsommer sind die Temperaturen hier angenehmer als in den nahegelegenen Städten. Der Pool ist groß und gut gewartet. Vor allem unsere Kinder hatten einen Riesenspaß beim Schwimmen. Die Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen: Im Erdgeschoss gib es eine kleine Küche (mit Spülmaschine!) und ein schönes großes Esszimmer. Um Das Haus herum gibt es weitere Sitzecken, Grills, einen Pizzaofen und sogar einen kleinen Spielplatz. Die Schlafzimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Die beiden Badezimmer sind klein, aber sauber und funktional eingerichtet. Es gibt eine Waschmachine in einem kleinen Extraraum, der von Außen zu erreichen ist. In der Umgebung kann man durch die Berge wandern und die Städte in der Umgebung besuchen. [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We had a wonderful time at Villa Marisa in the summer of 2024. The house is located in a small village on a pass. Even in midsummer, the temperatures here are more pleasant than in the nearby towns. The pool is large and well maintained. Our children in particular had a lot of fun swimming in it. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired: On the ground floor there is a small kitchen (with dishwasher!) and a lovely large dining room. Around the house there are further seating areas, barbecues, a pizza oven and even a small playground. The bedrooms are clean and spacious. The two bathrooms are small, but clean and functional. There is a washing machine in a small extra room that can be reached from the outside. In the surrounding area you can hike through the mountains and visit the towns in the neighbourhood.

Es gab nur einen Strom-Adapter für Schükostecker ( Backofen und Toaster ), welcher fehlerhaft war und schließlich ausfiel und nicht ersetzt wurde. Letztendlich entstand dadurch sogar ein Kurzschluß. Kein Warmwasser aus dem Hahn zum Abspülen in der Küche!!! Das Aufladen der Handyakkus ( weil Eurostecker ) ging nur noch an einer Steckdose im Waschraum. Der Toaster und Backofen war somit nicht einsatzfähig um Frühstück zu zu bereiten. Auch "Kleinigkeiten" fehlten z.B. Sektgläser oder eine Bratpfanne mit Antihafteffekt (völlig verkratzt)....und ... Da fehlt der Blick aus Sicht des Kunden!!! Lage: Top! Angestellte vor Ort: Top! Ambiente: authentisch toskanisch Aber bitte, bei diesem Standard sollten die oben angeführten Mängel abgestellt sein!

Absolutely gorgeous Villa, nice views from the balcony, comfortable furniture, lots of space, short drive to the supermarket, 1 min walk from a little bar/tobacco shop, and a lovely host - would definitely stay again and recommend! We loved it here.
