The Villa Fontine, aka Villa Niccolai, is a tremendous property, with excellent comforts, exquisite grounds, and a pastoral location. It is a very authentic Tuscan villa, looking small from the outside but is open and spacious inside. Multiple outdoor dining locations are available: poolside, under a new poolside curtained gazebo, in the garden, or under the porch awning. The owners, Angela (mother) and Sylvia (daughter), were gracious, warm, and welcoming. We did a special dinner with a chef the first night and it was divine. It is a great space for kids ages 4 and up (for younger tots, there are lots of stone stairs and the pool is not fenced), with plenty of room to run around outside. Only a few slight negatives: wifi isn't very strong so must stay close to host's house (no signal on porch or at pool); neighboring roosters start calling at 4:30 am, an authentic but not ordered wake-up call; the owner's house is very close to the villa, but owners not intrusive at all; gardening commences at 7 am or earlier each morning. Overall, it was a magnificent place to stay.

Wir waren begeistert von der einmaligen Lage oberhalb Luccas mit tollem Ausblick auf die Stadt, der mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichteten Villa mit blühendem Garten, tollem Pool, Outdoor¬- Pizzaofen und -Grill, perfekt gepflegt, gross, idyllisch, luxoriös und rundum ausgestattet. Es fehlt einfach an nichts, dafür erlebt man puren, landestypischen Urlaubsgenuss. Unser herzlicher Dank geht an Frau Pieroni für Ihre sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Betreuung. Great spot in the heart of Chianti Classico! Family is very friendly, you hardly know that they are there. Panzano is a 15 minute drive, where the famous buther Dario resides along with grocery stores etc. This property is way nicer than the photos look. New stove, comfortable bed, perfect for my wife and I. Great views of the rolling hills of tuscany also a short distance from Florence. Would highly reccomend.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Vor allem der große Pool und die gepflegte Umgebung waren wunderbar. Das Vermieterehepaar war außerordentlich liebenswürdig. Ein Nachteil waren die beiden steilen Treppen (die so in der Beschreibung nicht erkennbar waren) zu unserer großen Wohnung in der zweiten Etage, vor allem weil wir eine ältere Dame dabeihatten, die sich da schon schwergetan hat.
Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hervorragend.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We felt very comfortable. In particular, the large pool and the landscaped surroundings were wonderful. The landlord was a very gracious couple. One drawback was the two steep flights of stairs (these were not evident in the description) to our large apartment on the second floor, especially since we had with one elderly lady with us who has hurt herself on the stairs.
Excellent value for money.
