Edifice du XIIème siècle né comme chapelle de la “Chiesa di Santa Maria" et située à proximité du petit bourg de Casaglia. San Gimignano est à 10km. Au cours des siècles, la chapelle a été déconsacrée et transformée en une tour de garde puis en un lieu de rencontre des paysans des alentours lors des fêtes rurales. Les propriétaires ont personnellement restructuré la propriété sauvegardant le charme des anciens matériaux et les caractéristiques de l’architecture d’origine.
La maison est totalement indépendante et entourée de cyprès. A quelques mètres et en position rehaussée, une belle piscine privée d’où l’on jouit d’une vue magnifique.
Ameublement confortable de style rustique toscan.
Cette propriété est conseillée à qui désire passer des vacances au cœur d’une magnifique campagne avec la possibilité de visiter facilement l’entière région.
Accès à la propriété par une route non-goudronnée en bon état.
Distances : San Gimignano avec magasins variés à 10km, Sienne à 35km, Volterra à 37km, Florence à 45km, Cecina et Castiglioncello avec plages à env. 90km, Lucques et Pise à env. 90km, Arezzo à 115km.

Very good location of the Villa with an amazing view and close to many things to do and see in the area including San Gimignano, Siena etc. got a very nice welcome package from the owner which was a nice touch! It includes some items for breakfast, some paste, wine among other things. Good pool that you have all for yourself! Would definitely come back if going to this area another time!

Fabulous stay in a lovely property. Very welcoming owners. Kids really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor space. Great location to explore Tuscany from. Lovely walks locally with great views. We will be back!

La chiensa is wonderful .We were looked after well by Riccardo and his family .Loved the seclusion,views and even though it was a little cold on April the pool is magnificent .

Ein schönes und gepflegtes Feriendomizil mit viel Atmosphäre und Geschichte, relativ ruhig gelegen (das letzte Wochenende war leider durch eine 2 Tage dauernde Treibjagd mit den dadurch verbundenen Geräuschen (Hundegebell, Geschrei der Jäger /Treiber, Schießerei von früh morgens bis spät abends) dieser speziellen Jagdform getrübt). Das Grundstück, das Haus und der Garten samt Pool sind sonst ein wahres Juwel. Die Vermieterin ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorzuheben ist aber die exponierte Lage des Anwesens mit herrlicher Aussicht. Ein Ort zum Erholen abseits des Alltagstrubels. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It is conveniently located for travelling to many places in Tuscany and well equipped for making it your home. Maria is a welcoming and helpful host.

This is a very special vacation destination. La Chiesina has been lovingly restored and transformed into an updated and fully functional villa. Kitchen and bathrooms are clean and fully equipped. Beds are comfortable and made up with high quality linens. The setting is exactly what you would want from a Tuscan vacation house - rolling Tuscan hills with vineyards and fields of sunflowers surrounding the grounds. The view (especially from the pool) is breathtaking. Private and quiet (except for occasional traffic from the adjoining road) and perfected located. Take a walk down the road and you'll see stunning views of San Gimignano (only a 15-minute drive away). Maria, the owner, was lovely. She cooked us a memorable Tuscan meal one night and helped us book some local activities including horseback riding. We are a family of four (two children ages 9 and 12) and had a truly wonderful experience at La Chiesina.

La Chiesina is beautiful and ideally located if you have a car. It is a bit hard to find (just keep going further than you think you need to and you'll get there!) but well worth it. Maria made us feel very welcome with freshly made biscuits and a nice bottle of local wine. The house itself is a work of art with a greta history and feel and the pool was a welcome addtion to return home to at the end of a day sightseeing. San G is only a 10 minute drive so easy to get to for dinner or a fabulous gelati. The house and the location really live up to the pictures on the website - it really is that lovely. Thanks Maria!

4 of us spent 4 days at La Chiesina and it was brilliant. Just outside of the town of Poggibonsi and 10 minutes from beautiful San Gimignano it was a great location. Our host, Maria, was kind enough to escort us to the property as we got a little lost and on arrival we enjoyed some of her lovely homebaked cakes and a complimentary bottle of wine. The home itself was beautiful and very comfortable, you can;t help but appreciate the restoration to the home and the location it is in. We spent a night in and cooked a home cooked meal as all the necessary items were available to us.
Check in and check out was easy and we would definately stay there again should we be lucky enough to visit Tuscany again. I would definately recommend this house and Easy Reserve!

This property was perfect for us. We wanted a charming place that was central in Tuscany and had at least 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a comfortable lounge area. This restored house exceeded our expectations. The photos looked like a perfect fit after analyzing dozens on the website. When we arrived, our first reaction when we opened the door was a collective "Oh how nice!". The property was spacious and extremely comfortable. It felt like coming home after a long day of travel and sightseeing. The owner was friendly & gracious and had outfitted the property anticipating most of our needs. She even had a bottle of wine and homemade jam waiting for us! She and her husband renovated the property over 3 years. Their attention to detail and high standards was evident in all the details. It's not a luxury villa, but a comfortable, "cute", historic old chapel that is homey.
Easy Reserve was responsive and friendly. It was my first time using this type of service. I didn't know if they were a good one out of the many you find online and what to expect. I would use them again for any future trip of this kind.
As a footnote, Easy Reserve helped us arrange a cooking lesson during our stay. The owner offered, being a great home cook. That afternoon and evening were a highlight of our trip. She arranged everything we would need, taught us a dozen techniques resulting in a great meal which we shared with several of her friends and relatives! It couldn't have been a better experience.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in herrlicher Umgebung! Das Haus ist sehr gut und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und sehr groß! Durch die Nähe zu Volterra, San Gimignano und Florenz lassen sich Ausflüge einfach organisieren. Vielen Dank Maria für die Gastfreundschaft!
