Excellent 5 /5The house at Macennere is spectacular - intentionally rustic, totally comfortable and charming . . . and we could have stayed forever. The driveway is a bit intimidating, but worth the trip. The grounds of the house are equally spectacular. We were content to spend the evenings at the house preparing dinners that included fresh produce from the gardens and fruit trees. The kitchen has everything we needed (including a pasta maker) and the wood burning outdoor grill worked wonders. Bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable with plenty of privacy for our group of 3 couples, a single and 2 teens. The location in the hills was just what we wanted - - very much away from everything. I hope we will be able to return some day!!
