We had the most lovley holiday in in casa Ametista. Our hosts were wonderful and helped us get around by giving us great tips. They thought of all the small details to make our vacation perfect. We got a baby bed for our 2YO, a potty and toys which was very thoughtful. We enjoyed a lovely cooking lesson and dinner with the host which is also a memorable experience. If we go back to Toscana we are sure to come back to Podere Il Doccio. The location was great- close to many atractions but also very quiet and peaceful. Thnak you for a lovely holiday!!! Stayed at Borgo Casa al Vento during July 2010. The hospitality was excellent, from the wine produced on site to the dinner prepared each evening. The staff was helpful in recommending additional points of interest in the Chianti region. The room was clean and spacious with air conditioning units included. Would recommend to friends and family and return without hesitation.

The villa was everything and more. The views were undescribable and pool was so needed in the tuscan sun. We had the trip of a lifetime.

I strongly recommend this property. It does everything right: most obviously it looks terrific, with a big pool and huge, well-maintained grounds; but it is also well set up in terms of the quality of kitchen and furniture, things like crockery and pans, and little things like a stock of wine you can take from and pay when you leave. Be aware that the owners speak no English but they are very friendly and take such obvious pride in the quality of their property - they really want people to like it. Frequently they turned up to bring us vegetables they had grown in their garden. The location itself is good - you can be in Florence in a little over half an hour if you want, but for us the best place was the nearby town of Radda in Chianti, which is exactly as you want a Tuscan town to be. All in all it was a wonderful place for a holiday and we were impressed. Just one suggestion: fans (even if just portable fans) would be useful in the bedrooms in the summer.

een heel mooi gebouw,met hele lieve eigenaren. Rustige omgeving en ideale ligging voor uitstapjes naar mooie plaatsen in Umbrie en toscane. Een klein minpuntje het oude gebouw kan vochtig zijn.(Arslan,Rotterdam,NL)
